Ik kreeg zojuist het volgende bericht binnen van een
collega-student. Omdat de doelen van BoF zo dicht bij de onze liggen
heb ik besloten het even door te sturen naar Algemeen. Doe er verder
mee wat je wil.<br>

Sinds enige tijd ben ik vrijwilliger voor Bits of Freedom en
ik wil even jullie aandacht vragen voor de donatiedag van 6
oktober.<br>
<br>
Ook voor studenten is internetvrijheid een groot goed. Je
vrijheid op internet wordt de laatste jaren steeds meer
beknot. Je gegevens worden opgeslagen en geanalyseerd. Je
internetverkeer wordt afgeknepen en geblokkeerd.<br>
<br>
Bits of Freedom komt op voor jouw internetvrijheid<br>
Bits of Freedom heeft tot doel dat internet open blijft voor
iedereen, waar iedereen informatie digitaal kan delen en
waar privé communicatie privé blijft.<br>

Bits of Freedom is een jonge beweging, maar heeft met hulp
van vele fans en supporters al grote successen geboekt het
afgelopen jaar. Daardoor hebben we in Nederland zelfs
geschiedenis geschreven: als eerste land in Europa nam de
Tweede Kamer met een overgrote meerderheid netneutraliteit
aan.<br>

… en heeft jullie steun hard nodig...<br>
Denk bijvoorbeeld aan alle privacy-perikelen rondom Facebook
en Google of denk aan de onrust rondom DigiNotar en de
veiligheid van onze communicatie op internet. Ook het
komende jaar staat Bits of Freedom veel te doen tegen grote
overheden, machtige bedrijven en geslepen lobbyisten. Dat
kan mede met jullie hulp en steun.<br>

...tijdens de donatiedag op 6 oktober.<br>
Op donderdag 6 oktober zullen wij proberen om 1500 nieuwe
donateurs te vinden. En jullie kunnen daarbij helpen. Ten
eerste natuurlijk door die dag zelf een donatie te doen.
Maar dat is niet alles.<br>

Graag zou ik jullie namens Bits of Freedom om verdere hulp
vragen. Plaats een Facebookbericht of tweet over de actie!
