hmm, actually, ddos attacks and sabotage are quite common...
and guess whom would be the most likely criminal kartell behind that..

it's just hard to obtain evidence on "the usual subjects" actually paying 
for the botnet :P (well evidence that can be used in court anyway, as 
there is "evidence" and there is evidence ;)

but we must not forget sonymusic's nice rootkit a couple of years ago :P

i'd say, whenever something goes wrong, blame the MAFIAA by default 
(omgekeerde bewijslast, just because it's them ;)

certain utterings of MAFIAA representatives can indeed be used as 
self-incriminating evidence in case of lets say a ddos attack ;) (or just 
stuff being down in general, be it tech fail or not ;)

and after all, -they- don't show any tendency to stick to the law anyway.

koppelverkoop, kartelvorming, rootkits, ddos attacks, spam, corruptie, you 
name it, they do it. ;)

so simply assuming it's them again, yes, makes sense :P
