Piratenpartij heeft een nieuwe lijsttrekker voor de aanstaande Tweede

Kamerverkiezingen. Zondag kozen de leden tijdens een speciale

ledenvergadering in Amsterdam met een overweldigende meerderheid van

de stemmen voor Ancilla van de Leest.</font></font></font></p>

de Leest (30) zit al jaren bij de Piratenpartij. Ze is een geboren

Rotterdamse en een vooraanstaand privacy-activist. In het verleden

werkte ze onder andere voor Bits of Freedom. Verder is Van de Leest

bekend van radio en televisie, onder meer door optredens in De

Slimste Mens en Expeditie Robinson. </font></font></font>

deze uitverkiezing heb ik mandaat gekregen om het piratengedachtegoed

de komende 4 jaar uit te dragen’, aldus Van de Leest. ‘Ik ben

heel trots op het vertrouwen dat ik met deze uitverkiezing heb

gekregen van de leden. De maatschappelijke veranderingen waar de

Piratenpartij zich al 10 jaar mee bezig houdt, zijn nu opeens zeer

urgent geworden. Zelfs in Den Haag. Het is nu aan mij om een brede

beweging een gezicht te geven. We gaan met alle Piraten samen zorgen

dat burgerrechten ook gewaarborgd blijven in de digitale
